I can't believe that I'm about to advocate this, but I think that I should mention it to anyone who doesn't know about it. the Urban Exploration Resource is a worldwide urban exploration forum (mostly centered in north america) that links people from other cities, states, and countries into a global UE community. This forum comes with about as much drama as the Lifetime website discussion groups, harry potter fan clubs, or the Twilight forum for pre-teen girls, so don't say that I didn't warn you. The nice think about UER is that you can connect to other people in your general region and get to know other cities and communities, along with other finds that a smaller, more local forum like this rarely sees. I personally started out there, before there were any wisconsin-based forums, and through the site I've met many many great explorers. Several of the regulars on this forum are from the twin cities, which has some of the best exploring in the country, along with the closest exploring community I've ever met/seen/heard this side of the Cave Clan (Australia), all of which I met through UER. I highly suggest that you take a look at the site, and if you're interested to sign up there. I can't say that it's any better or worse than this one forum, but it can provide different views and topics, and more UE communication, which is never a bad thing. I can be found under the screen name "shotgun_mario" if you want to contact me. www.uer.ca
